1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how RAAW ("RAAW", "we", "us"), based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, handles personal data in connection with the raaw.ai website and our products, including the InterviewR platform. For privacy matters, contact hello@raaw.ai.
2. Data we collect
We collect three categories of data:
- Website visitors — information you submit through our contact form (name, email, topic, message) and standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting.
- Customers — account and organisation details (name, work email, organisation name), plan and billing status. Payment credentials (card, UPI or bank details) are collected and processed directly by Razorpay, our payment gateway; RAAW never receives or stores them.
- Candidates (processed for our customers) — job descriptions, résumés, interview responses, audio/video recordings, transcripts, scores and reports generated during interviews conducted through InterviewR.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- provide and operate the services, including conducting and scoring interviews;
- manage subscriptions, billing, renewals and refunds through Razorpay;
- respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
- secure the services, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations;
- send service communications (such as payment confirmations and material changes to the services).
4. AI processing
Interviews are conducted and evaluated using AI models, including models provided by third-party providers such as OpenAI, under agreements that restrict use of the data to providing the service. We do not use your candidate data to train our own or third-party foundation models. AI outputs (scores, summaries, recommendations) are made available to the customer that initiated the interview.
5. Candidate data — our role as processor
When customers use InterviewR to interview candidates, the customer is the data controller and RAAW processes candidate data on the customer's instructions. Candidates should direct requests about their data (access, correction, deletion) to the hiring organisation in the first instance; we support our customers in fulfilling such requests. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate, under contractual safeguards:
- Razorpay — payment processing, subscription mandates, invoicing;
- Amazon Web Services — cloud hosting and storage;
- OpenAI — AI model processing for interviews (speech and language);
- our email provider — transactional email delivery;
- professional advisers and authorities where required by law.
7. Retention
We retain account data for the life of the account and as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Interview recordings, transcripts and reports are retained according to the customer's plan and instructions, and deleted or anonymised on verified request or account closure, subject to statutory retention periods.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and segregated environments for customer deployments. On-premise deployments keep interview data entirely within the customer's infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong account hygiene.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing — including rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR. To exercise a right, or to raise a grievance with our designated contact, write to hello@raaw.ai. We respond within the timelines required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
10. International transfers
Our infrastructure and service providers may process data in countries other than yours (including India and the United States). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections for cross-border transfers.
11. Cookies
raaw.ai does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Only cookies or similar storage strictly necessary for the operation of the site and the product (such as authentication within InterviewR) are used.
12. Children
Our services are intended for business use and for candidates of working age. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes will be notified on this page or by email.
